We bring neighbors together!

"Imagine going on the caring offensive and slowly, deliberately, street by street, block by block, rebuilding our city’s community by building friendships where we live."

- Dr. Mack McCarter, Founder of Community Renewal International

Community Renewal Austin (CRA) equips and encourages a caring Block Leader network who work together to connect their neighbors in friendship.

We provide step by step training and support to help you bring your neighbors together and keep them connected!

Serving as a CRA Block Leader is an effective and powerful way to overcome division and disconnection and renew caring relationships in our community.

All that’s required to serve as a CRA Block Leader is a desire to bring your neighbors together. We help you coordinate simple and fun neighbor gatherings, and we host quarterly Block Leader meetings to encourage you along the way. Join us in intentionally building positive relationships among Austin neighbors!

Come to our next Block Leader Meeting …

Thursday, September 19 from 7-8pm

at a home in southwest Austin

(Please text Allison Finch at 512-736-3651 for address)

CRA Block Leaders meet quarterly to be equipped and inspired to build closer relationships among their neighbors.

At our casual and friendly meetings, Block Leaders get to know one another better, enjoy encouraging training, and set good neighbor goals for the coming months.

We’d love for you to join us at our next CRA Block Leader meeting!

Block leaders make a difference…

“This is the first home in my entire life where I have actually known my neighbors. By having regular get-togethers and a group text thread, I feel completely safe at home. I know that if we need anything one of my neighbors is able to help in an instant and vice versa.”

- Amy Colbert, resident on a southwest Austin street with a Block Leader
